Acid mist absorbers are equipment that most enterprises need to use. In order to reduce costs and ensure the efficiency of the equipment, enterprises can first understand the working principle of acid mist absorbers, then select the appropriate acid mist absorber, and finally determine the manufacturer.
The acid mist absorber exhibits excellent adsorption and purification performance for both common acid mists (such as HCl, H2SO4, HF, H2S, NOx, SO2, chromic acid, and other inorganic acids, as well as formic acid, acetic acid, propionic acid, and other organic acids) and alkali mists (such as NH3, NaOH, etc.). It boasts advantages such as low resistance, high efficiency, energy saving, low noise, corrosion resistance, long service life, cost-effectiveness, and elegant appearance. Furthermore, the working principle of the acid mist absorber is straightforward and easy to understand, and its operation is straightforward as well.
Acid mist typically refers to acidic substances in the form of mist. The particles of acid mist in the air are very small, smaller than those of water mist, with a particle size ranging from 0.1 to 10 μm, and possess strong corrosivity.
Basic process of acid mist absorber: suction hood - fan (fan can be placed at the back) - first stage pretreatment acid mist absorber - second stage treatment acid mist absorber - demister - chimney (discharge after meeting standards)
Working principle: The acid mist exhaust gas enters the air duct through the gas-phase suction hood, and then passes through the fan along the air duct to enter the first-stage preprocessor (cooling recovery device, rotary wet dehydrator, or wet scrubber), where most of the acid mist droplets and other large particulate matter are removed, and the gas-phase temperature is reduced. Subsequently, the gas phase enters the acid mist purification tower from the bottom through the gas distribution plate, while the liquid phase sprays downwards from the top of the tower via a liquid distributor, achieving countercurrent gas-liquid contact. The tower is equipped with a new type of packing or cyclone plate purifier, providing a large specific surface area for gas-liquid contact. The gas and liquid undergo sufficient mass transfer reactions on the surface of the packing or cyclone plate, enabling the absorption of acidic (alkaline) pollutants (generally, two-stage spray devices are installed, and more layers of spray devices can be formed according to different gas inlet concentrations, achieving high-efficiency purification effects). An efficient demister is installed at the top of the tower to remove the droplets carried by the gas phase due to liquid spraying. Different demisters (cyclone plate demister, wire mesh demister, packing demister, folded plate demister, etc.) are selected according to the operating conditions of different exhaust gases, with a demisting efficiency of up to 99% for droplets larger than 10μm. Finally, the gas phase is discharged through a chimney in compliance with emission standards.
